Placement and Training centre serves as a link between Engineering graduates and industry. It organizes seminars, Technical Workshops, Personality Development Programs and other Training Programs.

The Training & Placement Cell apart from the normal placement activities have a frequent personal interaction with the students which in turn help to understand & realize their problems better and try to solve effectively & boosting their confidence in every aspect.

We ensure that the students are trained according to the requirements of the industry before they appear for the campus placement. A step by step training methodology is adopted to develop their aptitude skills, reasoning skills, communication skills, leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, technical skills and finally the interview tackling skills. Basic sessions on Aptitude & personality development is carried out along with their academic curriculum from III Semester onwards and a rigorous 1-2 week training on the above mentioned skill sets by the industry experts is organized when the students are in their fifth semester.

We ensure that a student will be provided with maximum Interview exposures till he/she gets placed. We have developed very good relations with the corporate world through out India and the academic campuses through out Karnataka which helps the students to have maximum industry & academic exposure. We also help the final year students in getting the industry projects related to their domain.

The various activities included in the curriculum of the placement training program are Group Discussions, Interview Tips, Personality Development, Written tests on – Aptitude, Psychometric, IQ and Brain Teasers, Mock Interviews – technical as well as HR etc.

INFOSYS CAMPUS CONNECT SOFT SKILLS FOR STUDENTS AT BTLIT

Infosys under its Campus Connect initiative has been providing “soft skills” training program to engineering students in the partnering colleges to enhance their employability and personal development. Infosys is broadening this program with ‘Institution Direct’ approach. In the Institution Direct mode, Infosys will directly partner with large education trusts, through CC trained faculty or through Infosys certified Alliance Partners (Stanley David and Associates), and enable the colleges to deliver soft skills training themselves to their students.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

The placement cell conducted the program on "how to succeed in the interviews " in association with M/s Career Launcher on 04th Mar 2010 and 200 students participated, followed by the aptitude test was conducted for "Tycoon 2010" and the following students were declared winners and runner-up BRIJESH.C and HANNAN.S.A, have won the College Round of TYCOONS 2010 – India’s Greatest Youth Leadership Hunt, as a Winner and First runner – up.

The Board of IT Education Standards (BITES) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Asia’s largest IT Company," – "TCS TechBytes" conducted the college round of the national technical quiz on 24th March 2010 where 40 batches of two students in each batch attended the program. Top 10 teams where forwarded for the regional round to be held in RV College, Bangalore.

An awareness program was conducted by placement cell in association with M/s Vimarshana Academy of Learning on 25th Mar 2010, where 130 students participated in the program.

Placement cell organized career awareness program in association with M/s Quantum Leap on 09th April 2010, Mr. Murtaza Nagaria and Ms Asma Alumni of BTLITM, 2009 pass out batch address the students and explained in detailed about the careers in IT industry (telecom domain) and its academic requirements to be fulfilled by the students.
