It is also the intention of the Management to develop 10 acres of land feasing high way/ service road in the front as a Technical Education Campus in about 2 years wherein all technical educational Institutions including one more Engineering college for women to be started are housed. In the land rear to the Educational Institutions we have also developed Hostel for both Boys, Girls and also NRI Students. Nearly 30% of the engineering college students are staying in the Hostels.

Similarly we are running a Educational Institutions in Mysore also from Nursery level to SSLC Level. In a building with a built up area of about 600 Sqmts on a land of about 1.2 acres.

All the General Educational Institutions are giving education at subsidized fees since the students are from surrounding villages.

The organization also developed two hospitals at Chandappa Circle, near Big Baniyan Tree with an investment of about 10 lakhs during 1986 – 93 and handed over to Government for managing. The Hospital is upgraded to 30 beded hospital recently.

In commemoration of Silver Jubilee of the organization we have adopted 10 villages in Anekal and Magadi taluk and financed for the development of facilities which are not available in the villages like construction of class rooms, and furnishing the same development of libraries, conducting health check up camps etc.,

We are also issuing scholarships to an extent of about Rs. 5.00 lakhs every year to the students studying in our educational institutions as well as in other educational institutions in the state as detailed below from the accrued interest of the endowment created for the purpose.

The Intention of the organization is to increase the scholarship amount to Rs.10.00 lakhs per year in the near future.

Recently we have acquired additional 6 acres of land near Nelamangala Town, with the intention of developing into a Residential International School complex for Girls. Necessary plans have been worked out. Similarly we have made advance for procurement of another 12 acres of land adjacent to the already procured land with the intention of developing into second Technical Education Campus.

Lastly, I will be failing in my duty if I don’t mention about the charitable organization created by Sri. B.T. Lakshman in USA during the year 1993 and named as “BTL Foundation for International Services”, the sister organization. The main intention in creating this organization is to finance charitable works in USA and also to fund the charitable projects undertaken by the Trust in India. So far the Trust has received more than 2 million dollars and same was used for the welfare projects undertaken by the Trust in rural areas. But unfortunately we could not receive any money since 2007 because of the non receipt of approval from Government of India and all over village development activities are stagnated.

The foundation is also doing Charitable services in USA like providing dinner on thanks giving day, Christmas Day and New Years Day to the poor people since 30 years, dedicated 3 buildings under the scheme “Home for Homeless”. The list of charitable works undertaken by both Trust and Foundation are listed in the ABUYUDAYA magazine to be released by Hon’ble Minister in a few minutes time. With these few words I will be completing the report on about Trust and Foundation and its activities.
