Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in 1997 and is currently running B.E., and M.Tech. Programs. The department is headed by Dr. B.S.VISHWANATH, B.E., M.Tech.,M.S., Ph.D. who has around 28 years of experience in teaching and research.He has obtained his doctorate from Magad University, Biharin 2009.  The department has 27 faculty members with 2 Professors, 1 Associate Professor and 5 Asst. Professors and the rest with a PG degree.

The faculties are well motivated and take personal care of the students and counsel them at regular intervals. They also inform the parents / guardians about the progress of their ward regularly. Every 20 students are mentored by an experienced faculty member. Industry-academia interaction is given a prime importance. The guest lectures by eminent scientists and industrial visits are constantly been organized.

INFRASTRUCTURE & LAB:

The department has well equipped state of art laboratories in Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, Computer Networks, DSP, VHDL, VLSI, Microcontrollers lab with Hardware kit, Analog/Digital Communication, Advanced Communication and PG/Research LAB.

• To mould the students into competitive engineers and enable them to face the challenges of the ever changing scenario and succeed in personal and professional field.

• To provide a conductive environment that shapes students into professionals who remain in very demand.
• To help the students in defining a distinct place for them, where even the lines between software and hardware are getting blurred.

OBJECTIVES:

• To provide a platform for students, to realize, enhance and polish their skills in the field of electronics and communication.
• To keep the students aware of latest cutting edge technologies through talks by experts, seminars etc.
• To reinforce skills to work in a team through project works.
• To establish an uncompromising commitment to quality.
