The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 1997. It offers the subject of "Engineering Chemistry" which forms a core part of the applied sciences. The courses include theory & practical for classes of 1st and 2nd semester engineering students. The Department is well equipped with lab facilities to meet the requirements of the Engineering curriculum. Apart from that, sufficient numbers of sophisticated digital electronic devices are used to expose students to modern instrumentation.
The department has a qualified team of faculty members all dedicated towards educating the student mass. There are Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, Instructors and Attenders who have admirable/wholesome experience and profound knowledge in their respective areas of study.
Research Activity:
Department of chemistry has been recognized as a research centre by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum in the year 20012 to offer Ph.D programme. The research activities of the staff have resulted in several publications both in the Indian and International Conferences as well as Journals.
